I don't agree with one of the other reviews that said that it is mac compatible. I tried imovie and iphoto. First it refused to recognise the camera connected. Eventually when I pressed disc burn it did recognize but then said that mpg format was not recognizable. I tried quick time to open it and the same issue. I have been reading online and everyone complains of the same issue. OK, so sony refused to make picture motion browser for mac, but can they not atleast make the format more universal. I have the latest mac and latest quick time which do not recognize mpg format. I have always bought sony products. My first digital was sony. I waited until sony made slrs. But I will no longer buy it as I am now using solely mac and it is frustrating having my videos viewable only by tv or in the tiny screen. I cannot even burn the dvd.

Being a Sony man, i was excited about the product. ?It is easy to operate. The downloading process is a little difficult but still ok. The image quality when downloaded is horrible. I expected mor from sony and did not receive much help from customer support.

First digital camera I ever bought that didn't have a remote control. I went to video my living room and couldn't get the camera to back off enough to get my living room in the picture. bphata

How is it wen it comes to using at night or when the sun is just coming up. And one idea on fixing the glare on the screen is to get a HD screen protector which elimenates glares

as MacUser1 review said "its not mac compatible ". He is completely wrong. You don't need Sony's software for this. Mac has already provided programs for you, " iMovie and iPhoto". Just connect your camera via USB and open the program, that's it, simple. Of course if you wanna use Final Cut to edit your video, just simply export the video clip from iMovie as quicktime and import it back into Final Cut.

I purchased this video cam because I wanted something light weight and small enough to carry in my purse. Also, I'm a fan of Sony products. This cam is really user friendly and after reading the instructions I caught on to its many features real quick. The quality is awesome and the software included is fantastic. I upgraded and bought 8G Pro duo memory stick so that I could record longer. The battery life with a full charge is good. I'm an extremely satisfied customer!

I have bought several cameras so that I could view deer or other wildlife from my back porch. This is the first one that can actually accomplish that without even using all of the zoom. This thing is so awesome, I would recommend it to anyone and it is light as well. I don't know why I waited so long to get this camera. I LOVE it.

The quality was poor, I could not make any short films with it, everything that was more than 4 feet away was out of focus. I decided to buy an HD camera NOT made by sony.
