Its qualitybut just a little to small

The Lowepro SlingShot 200 AW is a quality item with sufficient padding, a great design for ease of carrying and use. Its great if you dont have to many lenses or acceseries.

Perfect

I keep it packed and am ready to go play whenever the opportunity arises. This bag is comfortable to carry, keeps my equipment safe & dry, holds everything I need except the tripod!

Large Enough for Canon 60D

I have the 100AW for a smaller SLR and it is much more comfortable. I carry this one by the handle or on one shoulder. It feels uncomfortable on my back.

Roomy Versatile day pack.

Perfect for me. Interior fits a d7000 with vertical grip and 55-200mm on body, with room for a wide angle and medium telephoto len and two strobes. Large storage pocket on the top for accessories. Front pocket for pens memory cards note pad etc. All weather construction with a hidden rain shield to cover the bag in a down pour. No need to take bag off for shooting just rotate it in front of you for quick access to your camera. Loops on front and side holds tripods and monopods. (monopod with large rubber foot will not fit through loop) Has an additional strap to hold bag in position for hiking and biking.

Will be back to Adorama!

Great bag, very practical for the photographer on the go! Holds camera, 3 lenses, plus a few other small pieces of equipment. Comfortable, easy access to gear. Best part, bought the bag thru Adorama and saved over $ compared to any brick-and-mortar store, and about $ cheaper than that other giant online retailer!

Excellent Sling for Camera and 4 lenses

I have a few SlipLock lens cases and bags so the LowePro 200AW with its 4 attachment points was attractive because it fit with my investment in SlipLock gear already. The main compartment of mine, in addition to the K5 w grip, has my DAL55-300, M100 Macro, DA35/2.4, FA50/1.4, Pz-AF 2x teleconverter, M50 Macro, fast charger w car adapter, lens pen, and 4 SD cards in the flap. The top compartment has 6 filters (2 each 49, 58 & 72mm) and my Bell & Howell Z680AF flash. The front compartment has my extra batteries for the camera and flash. On the outside side SlipLock attachment I have a lens bag with my Tamron 10-24. Pros: Main Compartment holds lenses up to the DA55-300 length with ease Main compartment is reconfigurable via velcro K5 with D-BG4 Grip attached with 18-135 fits in the front compartment Interior storage in the main compartment with velcro closure for SD cards and other small flatish items Has 4 SlipLock attachment points (strap, side, top slanted area, and front). Stands on its own with flat bottom Cross strap secures tightly to body and stores away in its own compartment when not needed Good cushioning on both back and main strap Interior compartment cloth to protect Camera's LCD screen Strap is long enough for 6'3" person All-Weather cover that stores away easily Cons: Narrow (can't really have a superzoom attached in the quick draw position Bottom not reinforced (like some of the Case Logic bags) No tripod attachment point LowePro does not make a Tripod SlipLock add-on

Exactly what I needed!

This is a great bag, it can be a bit bulky, but what do you expect when you have a bag that is meant for carrying all your gear! The built in all weather poncho was great since the day after it came it was raining and I had to bring my camera out, it kept everything perfectly dry! As far as storage, I only have two lenses at the moment, so it carries my spare in the lower compartment and I keep the other 18-55 attached to my KR in the sling, which is easily accessed for immediate use! Overall it was a great price for a great bag.

Great Bag at a good price

The SlingShot is a bag that seems to have exactly what is needed in it when I am out taking photos. I look forward to using it with the new camera I will be buying.

a great bag

I got this bag because I was going on a trip and needed to take a few things along with me. The camera obviously, along with some others. The fact that this bag has adjustable velcro borders makes it fantastic for all the stuff I wanted to put into it. Kinda annoying to make the adjustments, but an awesome feature nontheless. 4 stars only because it's not that comfortable, but hey that can also be me adjusting to the sling style. Still a great bag.

fits perfectly

I have the 100 model but needed a little more room so this is perfect for my Canon xsi camera with three lens, 100mm f2, 50mm f1.4, 50-250mm and my Tameron 17-55mm, plus speed lite flash, accessories, charger.

Perfect size.

This bag is the perfect size. Not too large and not too small. When full it can get heavy but that has a lot to do with the equipment. The bag alone isn't heavy at all. Adjusts to body well. Happy with purchase.

Great bag

I already owned the A100, this bag is larger and roomier. It's perfect for carrying the "extra" gear, over and above the camera and one extra lens. It will be an excellent travel bag.

Great Bag. Great line of bags

I really love the slingshot line of bags. I had the 100 model and needed more room so I decided to go with this bag. It is the same great bag but with more room. Too bad that it doesn't have a tripod holder, but that's fixed on the 202AW model.

Incredibly well thought out

It's obvious Lowepro has been at this for a while using this Sling bag. Think about it, and it's here. About the only thing I could ask for is another movable hook and loop fastened interior divider. My D90 just isn't that wide and with another divider I could stow away lighter items towards the front, without making the bag any bigger. It's almost wasted space. I can't relate to reviewers who say they wished it could accomodate a tripod. It would have to be a bigger bag, defeating the purpose. If anything it's almost too large.

Room for your camera & your life!

I'm an insulin dependent diabetic, mother of a toddler & aspiring photographer... I have a lot of stuff to haul around! This bag is my go-to - i keep my camera, lenses & various accessories in it at all times & STILL have room for a couple snacks & blood test meter.

Works well for my uses.

I use this to protect and transport camera in the woods and swamps while hunting. If you take the dividers out a 7D with 70-200 2.8 IS will fit if you put it in parallel with the bag. Very comfortable , you tend to forget it's even there. There is room for a 1.4 ext in the top compartment but not attached to camera. If you want to carry a lot of gear get a bigger backpack. This works great for me to just carry camera.

This bag is worth every penny!

I'm so cheap I was going to make my own backpack for my camera gear for my Maine vacation- I found this bag to exceed all my expectations- I was able to fit a Nikon d5000 w/ 10-24mm lens, two other lens- sb600 flash, a go pro hero and all the accessories. I found it to be the right size ( which was a concern because I bought it on the internet). My only complaint is there is no way to attach a tripod, other than that I was really happy. I'm really happy that I didn't try to make my own.

Perfect for one camera and accessories

I use this product to transport my Canon EOS Rebel XS, Canon EF 24-105 mm f/4L, Canon Speedlite 430EX, and a few batteries. It is perfect when going shoot to shoot or from work to photo class. I like how you can move the Velcro padding to customize your needs. The one strap helps you get past the "one strap" rule some museums have. The bag is a little strange with clipping the straps. It took some practice then became second nature. The quick access feature was another learning curve.

Fits my setup well

It's a good bag, although I'm far happier with it at the sale price. Also think the 202 and 200 should be the same product and should sell for about $50.

well designed and made

I have Nikon D7000 with 28-300 lens and one or two filters attached. It's still have room in front of the lens. For local or car travel, I would bring the bag. For airplane travel, I usually just put on Zing neoprene sleeve and I can put my camera into any backpack I carry. (travel light) This is a very well thought out and made bag. Before buying 200AW, I thought about getting 202AW for its tripod holder. But it seems AW202 can only hold a very small tripod besides Adorama was offering a big discount on 200AW. I will figure out some way to attach the tripod to the bag. Overall, I am very happy with this bag.

Light and roomy

Perfect size for serious but casual photo trips, big enough to fit most body, lens combo one would need. One strap can get you into museums, etc, that do not allow larger bags. It could be improved by having some sort of external strap for a small tripod, but I guess one can't have it all.

Great bag, low quality of zippers

After 3 years of very light use the main zipper separated from the fabric. The bag is useless now. It is made in China indeed.

Great bag if you don't carry a tripod

Over the years, I have purchased this bag in small (100w), medium (200w), and large (300W). The 200W gets the most use when I only want to bring 2-3 lenses to keep the weight down. I usually end up wearing it all day, and it works well as long as you are not in crowded spaces, as it is a bit on the bulky side. Here's my standard rig for the main part of this bag: 1 Nikon D300 body with attached Nikkor 105mm 2.8 lens;Nikkor 10.5mm fisheye;Tamron 18-270mm lens; Hoodman H-RAV right angle viewfinder attachment; various filters. The top and front pockets leave plenty of room for additional gear. I really like this bag except for one huge negative- no tripod attachment! Come on Lowe Pro- how could you miss this? This one deficit makes me think twice about grabbing this bag every time, as I ALWAYS bring a tripod. Lowe Pro- can you come up with something to attach to this series of bags to carry a tripod?? Also, in more recent times, I need to bring a laptop or netbook when I travel. With airlines limiting carry-on luggage, bringing this bag + separate laptop bag is verboten. Lastly, if you find the need to change lenses frequently in the field, the sling-style bags may be a little cumbersome, I have switched to a messenger-style bag worn with strap cross-body for those circumstances.

Very well organized!

By Steve

Well, of course this isn't my only bag. I have a "big" bag that holds all my stuff = my laptop, body, lenses, flash, extra batteries, etc. That bag carries all of my gear to the hotel room. Then, I put the necessary gear in this bag and take it for the day. Body, lenses, flash, straps, extra batteries, cell phone, all fit into this bag. I LOVE the sling. Leave the camera in, walk around town, if you see a shot, sling this around and whip out the camera and get the shot. Put it back, an...

Great bag with easy access to your gear

By GARY J.

After buying and trying several different bags, this is the best I have found. I have a Canon Mark III with 100-400mm L telephoto lens and 28-135mm Canon lens and 580ex flash. There aren't any other bags that can carry the Mark III and big telephoto lens attached except backpacks. I looked at the 300AW but that bag is huge. For me backpacks are too big, bulky, and impossible to get your gear without removing from your back. But the Slingshot 200AW with the above gear is very heavy. I had to ...
