Very practical tool for simple pan and tilt movements. I attached mine to a motorized slider to get a larger range of motion. Motor noise isn’t loud enough to effect your videos.

Product was fine, the Adorama sales team has suffered greatly from the effects of the pandemic. They sent the wrong model (don't have anything the DTap cord will fit) then charged me for making the correction by sending me the correct power adapter. Four phone calls later, they agreed that I should not be charged for the missing piece, but still have not seen the refund.

It's tricky to use this at cross angles but once you get it figured out, it's great. You can plug it in or use 4 AA batteries and the batteries seem to last a very long time. My only gripe is that it isn't slow enough. So if you record a lot of video then shoot at 60p or 120p and slow it down in post.

I have used these pan/tilt units for about 7 years now. I used them with their remotes, built remotes of my own, and recently gutted several of them and built my own speed control and remotes with Arduino Unos. I would recommend them highly and they work well and last pretty well too. My only gripe has always been the remote, it is basic enough and for most it will be enough. I remotely control these PT heads and also cameras and need a more controllable and robust means to do so. anot build my own. For the money, it is well worth checking out!

I am surprised it doesn't cost more. It is larger than expected and it had no problem handling my spotting scope. I do a lot of wildlife photography and was tired of fighting my tripod and missing shots. it is easy to use. There is a slight amount of drift after you release the remote control button.

I use this with an outside web cam to watch deer feeding in my back yard. So, It's outside and subject to weather. I have taken steps to protect it from that, but it is obviously not designed for what I am using it for. Only glitch so far is in the placement of the power and remote cables. They stick out enough I had to tape them up to keep them from restricting rotation. But that is because of the way I have them mounted. A few inches should be enough to let it travel. Otherwise, I think it will do what I wanted. Not like I move it around much. But sometimes the FOV with the camera needs a "touch up" in direction and vertical movement.

I can use three video cameras from the mixer for a full theater production with limited cameramen. It has good movement for pan and tilt. They should add the lanc controls for remove of the zoom on the cameras. The remote head should have at least a 20 foot cable, the short cable where you can still touch the camera, is not "remote", that is why I bought two 50' extension cables.

Easy to setup and use right out of the box. No problems with adjustments and it has been very dependable. No big battery drain. I really enjoy using the pan/tilt for unique photo and video opportunities. I added a large magnet to the base and attached it to my sidecar. The remote works very well and it is a fun piece of equipment to use with my various cameras.

Uses AC to DC adaptor that comes with unit. I use in our small Church to follow the Pastor from about 25 to 30 foot. The Further away the subject the quicker the pan & tilt in the field of view. I personally would like even slower settings to follow objects along way off while zoomed in.It's alittle too quick even on slowest setting unless you are close to the subject.

I bought this for my church because we record our services and they are shown on a local cable channel. We pan across the choir while they're singing. I find the speed of the pan on the lowest setting is still too fast.

I like the product but it is a little bit too noisey when it reaches the max points while in auto-rotation. The unit seems solid but I do hear a little grinding sound occasionally. If you are going to record audio from the camera attached to this unit, it may be a problem. For what I am using it for, it does the job very well.

Great for repositioning camera before camera takes. A bit jerky at start and end of pan & tilts so not best for on-air moves. I use it for multi camera shoots to pan and tilt camera remotely when I am doing large live events.
