This fall, Tamron will unveil a new 18-300mm lens to help Fujifilm and Sony creators bring their images and films to life. The first-of-its-kind lens is built for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The lens — the world’s first 16.x all-in-one zoom — is revolutionary for more than its superlatives. It’s the first Tamron lens simultaneously created for Fujifilm X-mount and Sony E-mount cameras.

While we don’t know specifics about lens-launch timing, we do know this 18-300mm lens will pack a big punch — from the wide-to-zoom range to the speedy autofocus system. Not to mention, it has the best image quality in its class. Scroll below for more on this exciting new 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 lens from Tamron.

Features of the Tamron 18-3oomm lens

Sony creators have long enjoyed the quality and precision packed into Tamron’s beloved lenses. Now, with the 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 lens—the first APS-C mirrorless camera with 1.6x zoom ratio—Fujifilm creators can get in on the fun too. Tamron is creating this for both Sony E-mount and Fujifilm X-mount photographers and videographers. It promises Tamron’s image quality and ease-of-use with a highly precise and fast autofocus system that guarantees stunning results. Lens highlights include:

  • The world’s first 16.6x all-in-one zoom lens
  • Fast and precise autofocus with Tamron’s VXD linear motor focus mechanism
  • MOD: 5.9”/ maximum magnification ratio (1:2 at 18mm)
  • Stellar, best-in-class image quality
  • Outstanding VC (vibration compression)
  • Compact and lightweight
  • Moisture-resistant, fluorine coating, zoom-lock switch features

A first-of-its kind zoom lens

Just when photographers and videographers thought they’d seen it all, Tamron introduced this innovative lens that boasts a jaw-dropping 16.6x all-in-one zoom. The versatility means all videographers and photographers will benefit from the lens — from landscape and portraits to weddings and wildlife — and just about every creative segment in between. Plus, with an f/3.5-6.3 aperture, creators can deliver dazzling, shallow-depth-of-field results, whether it’s blurred backgrounds or glowing bokeh.

Stunning image quality with sharp AF

A 16.6x zoom lens is nothing without high-quality images. That’s where Tamron’s legacy of stunning and rich resolution comes into play. This lens boasts the best image quality in its class. The handy vibration compression (VC) ensures images are shake-free and sharp, even when using the telephoto focal lengths. Plus, with an autofocus system that leverages Tamron’s autofocus features, photographers can rest assured their images will be crystal-clear and focused.

A portable lens for traveling creators

The Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 lens is a rare all-in-one option. This means travelers don’t have to tote three to four lenses around the world. They can carry this one for everything from wide-angle shots like landscapes to ultra-zoom frames like wildlife or distant skyscrapers. The built-in moisture-resistant construction ensures this lens can hold up to the elements too.

The Tamron 18-300mm lens will be available in fall 2021 for Sony E-mount cameras and FUJIFILM X-Mount cameras.
