Details of the New and Improved Functions Available with the 2025 LUMIX Firmware Update

Let’s break down all the great new functions available to creators with this update.

Enhanced LUMIX Lab App Features

This 2025 LUMIX Firmware Update adds versatility via the LUMIX Lab smartphone app. Shutter control and remote shooting will open up the doors to more unique placement of your camera. Image transfer will speed up sharing your work. Additionally, on some models, wireless live streaming is possible.

Advanced Phase Hybrid Auto Focus

Enhanced subject detection is now available via the 2025 Lumix Firmware Update. Creators can now select airplanes, trains, and even specific parts of cars and motorcycles for even more accurate focus.

Versatile Multi-Frame Markers

This update will be extremely popular for content creators who publish their work in multiple formats. Having three frame markers for various crops makes framing easy and intuitive. Open Gate just got better with this update.

Hybrid and Crop Zoom Options

Combine optical zoom with Crop Zoom (below) to extend your reach seamlessly.

MP4(Lite) for Social Sharing

This new format optimized for smartphones can reduce data consumption without reducing resolution. Work in Open Gate and share your content quickly and precisely as you envision it on social platforms.

Crop Zoom Options

With Crop Zoom, the LUMIX Extracts the central part of the image and allows zooming without degrading image quality. Turn your prime into a zoom for more versatility when in the field (or the studio).
