Capsule System 2.0:
The H8’s updated capsule system 2.0 provides even more flexibility with brand new high-end mic and input attachments. All of this creates new ways to expand your recording capabilities.
The Combination XY/AB Mic (XAH-8) captures clean and crisp stereo recordings. You can alternate and rotate between an XY pattern and an AB pattern, enhancing the audio.
The Ambisonic Mic (VRH-8) uses four condenser microphones for 360 audio. The Ambisonic Mic features a built-in accelerometer that keeps the capsule aligned at all times and conversions are done through the included decoder.
The Expander Capsule (EXH-8) capsule has an extra four XLR inputs, each with its own gain knob and switch pad.
Editing powers, enhanced:
Alongside the H8, users will be equipped with the Cubase LE and Steinberg’s WaveLab Cast software, allowing for editing, mixing, and audio refining for all.
For podcasters, WaveLab Cast grants access to podcast directories, making it easier than ever to upload episodes and publish to feeds. For audio-for-video users, the software extracts audio and allows for direct editing tools. On the field recording side, the software can support 96KHz audio quality and has a high-end re-sampler, while also ridding the audio of any unwanted sounds or background noise.
The Zoom H8 Hands Recorder is available for preorder now for at Adorama.
