Picture Quality and Shooting Modes:

The new Leica V-Lux 5 is a perfect fit for just about any occasion and any skill level. The 9.1-146mm Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens is equivalent to a 25-400mm lens with 16x optical zoom. Users can capture far away scenic shots, and up close subject shots with the same lens. The max aperture hovers around f/2.8-4, giving shooters an adequate depth of field to add some style to any focal length.

If users find themselves in an action or quick motion situation, the V-Lux 5 has continuous burst shooting at 12fps to keep sharp movements clear. Most notably, the new Leica comes with popular post-focus and focus stacking modes. With post-focus mode, users can actually change the focal point of their image after taking the shot. And with focus stacking mode, the camera will take additional photos with the focus on different depths within the image. The combination of these two shootings modes saves shooters immense frustration when capturing the perfect shot that’s out of focus.

The Leica V-Lux 5 also has 4K recording and photo capabilities to elevate your shooting. And with a 20 megapixel, 1-inch sensor, every video and picture is sure to be clear, detailed, and vivid.

Compact Companion:

The Leica V-Lux 5 packs all the above qualities into a small body for versatile, travel-friendly shooting. The camera comes with a 2.36 megapixel OLED electronic viewfinder with 0.74x magnification so shooters get an accurate representation of what they are capturing. There is also a 3-inch touchscreen with 1.24 million pixels for any adjustments needed.

To the delight of all-day shooters, Leica has increased the battery life of the V-Lux 5 and the body has a micro-USB input for quick charging. And for optimal mobile shooting, the new Leica can connect to the Leica FOTOS app via WiFi and Bluetooth to edit and share content on-the-go. Lastly, the V-Lux 5 comes with a two-year warranty.
