The Adorama AIRC Learning Center has added the results for the EOS 5D Mark II, plus an interperative statement, to our buying guide, The most important Pro/Prosumer DSLRs right now. The EOS 5D Mark II’s test results showed improvement in all aspects of image quality over its predecessor, the 5D.

The Pentax K200D, a 10MP DSLR that is available now but was recently discontinued after an unusually short, 8-month production cycle and will be replaced by the K2000, showed a very good performance and the best price/performance ratio for Pentax DSLRs. Digital noise in higher ISOs is slightly better than in the 14MP K20D or 10MP K10D–both of which are more expensive cameras. Color depth and dynamic range are both excellent and are roughly equal to the tested quality of the K200D’s two pricier siblings.
