Practical, durable design
The new DJI Ronin-SC is designed to be lightweight but stable. The gimbal weighs a mere 1.1kg, making it ideal for traveling and portable shooting. Although it weighs almost nothing, the Ronin-SC has a payload (aka, how much weight it can carry) of 2.0kg so users are free to attach microphones and heavier lenses with full support of the gimbal. The Ronin SC comes with mechanical locks on each axis so users can lock in a balancing position and storage position to save time with adjustments. The gimbal also includes exceptional motors for quick, seamless tracking (more on that below). And the motors will even shut down if they are overwhelmed to prevent any damage.
Perhaps most importantly, the gimbal is compatible with the vast majority of mirrorless cameras. To further the value of the the Ronin-SC, shooters can gear up with multiple accessories including a phone holder, focus motor, and more.

Stabilization, tracking, and shooting modes
A gimbal’s stabilization abilities are vital to its function. The DJI Ronin-SC has a prime stabilization algorithm to ensure smooth and clear shooting. Users are able to move freely without the worry of blurring the shot. The gimbal also comes with ActiveTrack 3.0 to perfectly follow and capture subjects. To use ActiveTrack 3.0, users mount their phones to the gimbal and track their subject through the composition on their phone screen.
Users can also take advantage of the “Force Mobile” feature through their smartphones. With Force Mobile, shooters use their phone’s gyroscope for precise motion control with ultra-low latency. If users want to get creative, 3D Roll 360 allows the camera to do a 360-degree roll continuously for an extra unique shot. Other creative shooting modes include Panorama, Timelapse, Motionlapse, and Motion control. Additionally, Sports Mode is fitting for high action shots that require quick tracking or a whipping pan motion. So no matter the scenario, and no matter the type of shot, the DJI Ronin-SC has the functionality to capture it.
As mentioned above, ActiveTrack 3.0 and Force Mobile are both used through the Ronin App. But users are also able to control intelligent features, camera parameter settings, gimbal balance testing, detailed guides, tutorials, and more.
The new DJI Ronin-SC is now available for preorder for from Adorama.
