Today at CES 2020, Panasonic is introducing the industry’s smallest, lightest, and most powerful camcorder: the Panasonic AG-CX10 camcorder. This 4K 60p professional camcorder, available for preorder now for a March 2020 launch, is part of the brand’s ever-growing CX series. The AG-CX10 combines high-speed auto focus and a sharp, versatile lens with a broadcaster-targeted P2 MXF file format and built-in connectivity for use as a live camera. Here are some of the AG-CX10’s most highly anticipated highlights:

Panasonic AG-CX10 Camcorder:

The new Panasonic AG-CX10 may be the industry’s smallest and lightest camcorder, but don’t let the portability fool you. This professional camcorder packs a big punch. Its integrated LEICA Dicomar lens ranges from a 25mm wide angle to an impressive 600mm telephoto zoom, with two manual rings for focusing and zooming, plus built-in ND filter functionality. Beyond glass, the 4K 60p AG-CX10 Camcorder — which supports a P2 MXF file format — offers quick and precise auto focus and face detection, with five-axis hybrid optical image stabilization.

Powerful Lens with Precision and Speed:

The Panasonic AG-CX10’s integrated lens comes with an optical 24x zoom, ranging from a wide angle of 25mm to a 600mm zoom, with 32x at 4K resolution and a 48x zoom at full HD. The LEICA Dicomar lens suppresses flares and ghosts, with two manual and different-sized rings for focusing and zoom or iris operation.

Quick Auto Focus with Focus-Assist for Manual Shooters:

Focusing is a breeze thanks to the Panasonic AG-CX10’s precise lens, which offers quick focusing, stability, and tracking, with subject tracking via color recognition available in the LCD panel. For manual focusers, the Panasonic AG-CX10 also offers focus assist options including expanding and peaking, as well as one-push auto focus.

5-Axis Hybrid OIS for Smooth and Stable Footage:

Panasonic AG-CX10’s electronic image stabilization detects and corrects hand shake in five axes, including rotational and blurring. The included ball OIS system reduces friction on the drive section, providing subtle correction for even the lightest shake — up to a high, 24x optical zoom.

The Industry’s Smallest and Lightest Camcorder:

Of course, limiting shake will be easier than ever with the Panasonic AG-CX10’s small and lightweight body that weighs in at under two pounds (3.3 pounds with handle and accessories). Panasonic’s new heat-dispersing design borrows air from the camera’s rear panel and disperses it to the front for a lightweight structure with powerful results.

Impressive Professional Functions Built In:

Panasonic built a variety of professional and crowd-pleasing functions into this new addition to the CX Series, including two manual rings with different sizes for quick setting changes; an ND filter with 1/4, 1/16, 1/64, and clear options; a bright LED video light built into the handle, which can be adjusted between 30 percent to 100 percent for dark conditions; and 24-bit high-resolution linear PCM audio recording. The 3.5-inch, 2,760K-dots-of-resolution monitor is above industry standards, with an electrostatic touch panel for ease of operation, and a 1,555K-dot tiltable viewfinder and LCD.

The Panasonic AG-CX10 Camcorder will be available for preorder for  at Adorama.
