Shooting styles and features:

Most notably, the G50 records in ultra high-definition (4K) at 30 frames per second. If users want to increase the FPS, full HD (1920×1080) is available at 60fps. Users are given framing and range freedom with Genuine Canon 20x optical zoom, and the low-end stops at a wide 29.3mm for creative effects. Fast and slow motion recording are cool, essential features when adding style to the shots. Depending on the resolution and the frame rate, users will be given speed options between 0.2x – 1200x for playback speed. Interval recording further takes advantage of speed mapping by allowing users to set the frame rate for a certain amount time. At the moment, there is no sound recorded with fast and slow features.

To make things convenient, the G50 has a 3.0-inch LCD screen and five assignable buttons for desired camera functions so users don’t have to routinely dig through the camera menu. Lastly, the camcorder includes dual SD card slots.

Sharp Image Quality:

The Canon G50 incorporates a DIGIC DV 6 to process data faster creating a more detailed and clear picture. The 5-axis stabilization feature reduces shakiness from all types of motion for a crisper recording. And the 8-blade circular aperture produces a smoother, more pleasing bokeh effect. The Canon G50 also has Advanced Full HD, which records in more pixels and reduces noise.

The Canon VIXIA HF G50 is now available at Adorama for $1099.
