On September 5th, Adorama announced the reopening of the Adorama Event Space, situated within its iconic store at 42 West 18th Street in New York City. This exciting development promises to engage the local photography and filmmaking community with a series of compelling events.
The space will hold weekly events tailored to professional content creators, including product demonstrations, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and live streams. This will include both recurring events and exclusive opportunities to interact with brand ambassadors, seasoned photographers, and accomplished filmmakers.
About the Adorama Event Space
Seth Miranda, Content Producer at Adorama, oversaw the build of the new event space, which can comfortably accommodate around 50 in-person attendees along with live-streaming capabilities. The space has been equipped with an impressive selection of Adorama’s top-tier products from brands such as Nikon, Manfrotto, Avenger, Blackmagic Design, BenQ, Mackie, and Sennheiser.
The space is outfitted with six Nikon Z 6II cameras, capturing six different angles, running at 4k30p streaming 1440p to the Adorama Events YouTube for livestreamed events. There are also Sony televisions for crowd viewing, two vertical monitors for presenters, and a collection of Nanlite products controlled via iPad.

“We want to encourage everyone — whether a speaker or spectator — to get better at their craft. Photography can be solitary at times. It’s helpful to hear other perspectives to improve your photos or videos,” said Miranda.
Mary Irene Marek, Vice President of Brand Marketing at Adorama, envisions the event space as a hub for local photographers and filmmakers. The intention is to offer a platform to connect, learn, and find inspiration, all while championing Adorama’s motto to #CreateNoMatterWhat.
“At Adorama, we’ve always been dedicated to supporting the creative community,” said Marek. “Our journey to revamp and debut the new event space has been a labor of love for the team. We are thrilled to welcome some of the most brilliant creative minds to our 42 West location. I also want to extend a heartfelt appreciation to our vendor partners for supplying the cutting-edge gear that made this rebuild a reality.”

Launching the Event Space
The official launch of the event space was held on September 5th with a live photography demonstration by none other than Seth Miranda. With an audience of over 50 people, he shared his invaluable tips and tricks for achieving stunning studio shots using small flashes and speedlights.

This event, along with many future events, will be readily accessible through Adorama’s brand-new Adorama Events YouTube page. Viewers can either watch the events live and/or watch at a later time. Presenters also encourage viewers to interact with the presenter via the YouTube channel’s live chat to comment or ask questions.
Coffee with Creators
Within the lineup of live-streamed events, Adorama is set to unveil the launch of “Coffee with Creators.” This weekly engagement is scheduled to kick off every Wednesday at 11am Eastern Time (ET), offering viewers the opportunity to virtually join Seth, the host, via live stream.
During Coffee with Creators, Seth will speak with a new guest each week for an informal conversation about the nuances of the photo and video industry — all while drinking their favorite cup of coffee. The first set of guests include Adorama’s own Sal D’Alia and Fernando Martinez, followed by photographer Daniel Norton and audio engineer Keith Alexander.
Upcoming Events
Adorama plans to host multiple events each week either within the event space or via live stream. For the latest updates on this exciting roster of events, be sure to visit the Adorama Eventbrite page.
