Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021 updates:

  • Automatically back up catalog structure
  • Adjust the tilt of a person’s face
  • Perfect landscape guided edit
  • Duotone effect guided edit
  • Move and scale object guided edit
  • Quote graphics with templates and animations
  • Create moving photos

Adjust face tilt

This new feature is exactly as it sounds — it allows the user to make small adjustments to a subject’s face. Users can select the face they want to modify, then use three different sliders to adjust up and down, left and right, and rotation.

Landscape

This is one of Photoshop’s guided edits, and it leads users through changing the landscape in a photo. Creators can quickly level out horizons, remove haziness from backgrounds, or simply drop a whole new sky above the horizon.

Duotone

Another guided edit, the duotone effect can be easily dropped on any photo. The edit comes with presets to help you get started, then you can customize the hue and opacity to your liking. To top it off, creators can drop a shape overlay for further style.

Move and scale object

The move and scale object guided edit is a combination of the selection tool, transform tool, and spot healing brush. Creators are able to select an object, reposition and resize the it, then clean up the changes with the spot healing brush. Re-composing photos is super easy with this tool.

Quote Graphics

Quote graphics have become super popular on social media and the newest elements package makes adding text to graphics speedy. Users can start with a premade template then customize the text and color to their liking. Creators can even add simple and smooth animation to their final product.

Moving Photos

The moving photos update allows for quick and simple animation on any photo. The process adds 3D motion to 2D photos such as zoom, pan, tilt, and rotate. No in-depth expertise needed!

Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 updates:

  • Automatically back up catalog structure
  • Double exposure guided edit
  • Animated matte guided edit
  • Select and edit specific areas of video
  • Updated GPU acceleration for real-time effects
  • Updated 73 music scores and 268 sound effects

Double exposure

The double exposure guided edit is a faster way to composite with blending modes. Creators just need to choose a photo to begin, then drop a video on top and select a blend mode to craft a clean double exposure.

Animated matte

The animated matte guided edit is a convenient way to composite with the track matte key. Users pick a shape overlay from a menu, then drop the track matte key on top of it for a clean composition. Simple as that!

Select specific areas

This update is intended to hasten the masking and tracking of objects in Premiere. Users can draw around the area they want to affect — just like masking — then apply the effect. The difference is this function will automatically track the mask throughout the video so you do not have to.
