Carolyn from Pentax fields questions about Pentax gear at a tour stop at the Times Square Hilton.
2009 has been marked by some very interesting marketing campaigns by various camera manufacturers, from the Olympus “Will It Blend” video for it’s E-P1 camera, to the Pentax K-7 Viral Tour that has been making stops in various cities across the US in the past few weeks.
The guests at this morning’s session at the Times Square Hilton were treated to a presentation by Kerrick James about his experiences with the K-7, along with a Q and A session and hands-on time with the K-7 and a mess of Pentax optics. And one lucky participant walked away with a brand-new Pentax K-7. There’s three more New York City sessions tonight and tomorrow, and that means three more lucky guests will leave a session with a new K-7.
This special marketing version of the Pentax K-7 is pulling a Slim Goodbody impersonation.
Overall the vibe was relaxed and it was sort of like being at a single-booth tradeshow very late in the day, when the team has enough time to spend with each and every guest for all their questions. If you are into Pentax, and can make it to the upcoming New York or Florida sessions, it’s worth checking out. And the chance to win a brand-new Pentax K-7 is pretty cool, too.
