Mason Resnick joined Adorama as the Editor of the (then named) Adorama Academy. He renamed it the AIRC (Adorama Imaging Resource Center). When that didn’t stick, he renamed it again. It’s now the Adorama Learning Center (ALC).
Now Mason is excited that the ALC has become a reality. It incorporates many user-friendly changes, plus interactivity such as the ability to comment after ANY article, and to rate what you read on a scale of 1-5 stars. Be kind.
But you came to this page to learn something about Mason. Photographic evidence shows that Mason first expressed interest in photography while playing with his parents’ Bolsey B3 35mm camera at the age of 3. He learned to develop his film and prints by the time he was 10, and has been writing about photography since the mid-80s.
During his career, Mason has penned many how-to articles, buying guides and more, and has worked as an Associate Editor of Modern Photography, Managing Editor of Photo Business and Popular Photography.
Mason agrees with Adorama’s mission, which is to provide service and information that goes beyond the sale. More stuff about Mason: An avid street photographer who studied with Garry Winogrand, Mason has been shooting candids on the streets of New York since the late 70s. In his spare time, Mason teaches what may be the world’s only online street photography course, via Adorama partner site The Perfect Picture School of Photography. His favorite camera is a Leica M3, and his favorite color is Blue.
He also prefers writing about himself in the third person.
