4K, HDR video from a far distance
The Bolt 4K wireless transmitter system includes three options: Bolt 4K LT, Bolt 4K, and Bolt 4K Max. Today, we’ll do a rundown of the most budget-friendly version, the Bolt 4K LT. The Bolt 4K LT wireless transmitter can send 4K video via HDMI and 1080p via SDI. On top of 4K video, the LT supports 10bit HDR color for a stunning, accurate representation of what you’re shooting.
The Bolt 4K LT has two variations: the LT 750 with a range of up to 750 feet, and the LT 1500 with a range of up to 1500 feet. That’s a 50 percent range increase in distance for each model over its predecessors, the Bolt 500 and Bolt 1000, respectively. With these transmission distances, cameramen and videographers can cover entire production sets without dragging around connecting cables. Not only does this increase mobility and make a spotter’s job easier, but a wireless set is safer and less likely to tip expensive equipment.

Instant signals and full compatibility
Even at 1500 feet, the Bolt 4K LT transmits video signals instantly — less than a thousandth of a second to be exact — so there is never a delay. Whether you’re the director working off of a handheld monitor module, a cinematographer set up at the video village, or a client watching on a monitor off set, you’ll view a crisp, real-time shot. Speaking of different monitoring equipment, the Bolt 4K LT has cross compatibility with all of Bolt’s wireless equipment. Users can connect to Cine 7 and 702 Touch handheld modules, SmallHD monitors, and MAX Array light panels. The Bolt 4K LT allows for up to six receivers that mix-and-match and connect at once, giving creators versatility and choices.
Easily managed via smartphone app
Not only is the video wireless, but Teradek integrated Bluetooth technology so the controls can be wireless, too. Using the Bolt Manager iOS app from Teradek, creators can view spectrum analyzers, change receiver channels, and adjust video output settings. The spectrum analyzer is helpful when the magnitude or frequency of one of the signals is weak or being blocked and you need to troubleshoot.
The LT 750 is now available for and the LT 1500 is available for , which is the same price point as the previous models, the Bolt 500 and Bolt 1000. So for the same value, creators are getting a whole lot more.
