As more people work from home, create content, and live stream, soon you will find yourself needing an interface. It’s best to get something that’s small and packs a punch but won’t drain your wallet. Thankfully, PreSonus is a company that knows audio. They believe in innovation that removes barriers and creates solutions. So, it’s great to see their next powerful audio and streaming interface is ready for the market—the PreSonus Revelator io24.
PreSonus Revelator io24 Features:

- Wireless control from your tablet or phone via UC software

The Revelator io24 is built for podcasters, streamers, YouTubers, and musicians who want to step up their audio and workflow game at home or on the go. PreSonus made it clear that this is aimed at beginners who value their time and want a professional sound right out of the box. Judging from the spec sheet, it should be able to do just that and a whole lot more.
Shape and Size
The first thing you’ll notice is the black shell and angular design. This allows for easy placement on cluttered desks while the sides of the interface have vent holes to help dissipate heat. On the front, you’ll find the input and output LCD for easy monitoring and instant adjustments. You’ll also see the independent levels for the headphone and main outputs—plus a mute button—for an easy switch between mixing on studio monitors and listening on headphones. There’s two XMAX-L mic preamps for clean recordings with enough headroom for those gain hungry microphones.
Perfecting Your Audio
If you’re a streamer, use the Stream Mix mode and your entire mix will route directly to USB where it can be sent to your streaming software. There is no need for complex routing or extra hardware. If you’re someone who always travels with gear, you can save your presets directly to the interface to reproduce the same sound every time. Most of the pre-installed presets should work for the average person’s voice. But, if you want to add some flavor to your mix, there are additional effects such as various hall and radio emulations.
Two stereo channels are dedicated so you can mix and record audio from two different applications with both channels of your Revelator io24. You’ll also be able to stream and record directly to your DAW of choice simultaneously. With UC Surface, you can control and interact with all the features of Revelator io24 on most phones and tablets.
The Revelator io24’s sonic elements are modeled after those found in the StudioLive Series III mixers for high-end results. You’ll also get over $1000 of software with your purchase, including Studio One Artist, Ableton Live Lite, and the Studio Magic Suite.
Connect to nearly anything and make your own magic.
