Kodak Enhances All Single Use Cameras with the New KODAK ULTRA MAX 800 Film, Offering Brighter, More Vibrant Colors

New Single Use Cameras Part of Broader Consumer Film Portfolio Improvements

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 14 — At the Photo Marketing Association’s Annual Conference and Exposition Jan. 31 – Feb. 3, Eastman Kodak Company will showcase its family of single use cameras, all of which will include the next generation of KODAK ULTRA MAX 800-speed color film. KODAK ULTRA MAX 800 Film, the best 800-speed film for low light and fast action, now offers even brighter colors. With more than 90 percent of Americans using single use cameras as a complement to their more expensive cameras, according to a study conducted by Kodak, the new offerings help retailers provide consumers relevant solutions for their picture-taking experience.

“Photography at any level is about telling a story, whether it be a class field trip, a child’s birthday party or a family vacation” said Mary Jane Hellyar, president, Film, Photofinishing, and Entertainment Group and executive vice president, Eastman Kodak Company. “We’ve continued to improve our consumer films and single use cameras to ensure that no matter where and when people are shooting, they have access to tools that help them tell their stories through vibrant, high quality pictures.”

In addition to the 800-speed film and single use cameras, Kodak will also introduce an improved KODAK ULTRA MAX 400-speed film, featuring brighter colors. Described as “the world’s most versatile film,” ULTRA MAX 400 film can be used in all conditions to consistently create bright, vibrant pictures across a wide range of lighting conditions. The skin-tone reproduction of the ULTRA MAX 400 film also creates natural-looking “people pictures.” Together, the new generation of KODAK ULTRA MAX films and the new single use cameras enable retailers to offer consumers simple, easy-to-use choices for any picture-taking situation.

The first shipment of the enhanced single use cameras to retailers will begin during the first quarter of 2008. The new KODAK ULTRA MAX 400 and KODAK ULTRA MAX 800 films will be available worldwide on a stock turnover basis, beginning the first quarter of 2008.
