Tiffen Overhauls Legendary Domke Camera Bag Line

Although Domke camera bags have been used by photographers—especially photojournalists—for generations, their design has remained essentially the same for many years, with occasional new models introduced. Today, Tiffen has overhauled the entire Domke line, introducing what they are calling the Domke Next Generation bags.

Externally, all the bags look more or less the same as the originals. But inside, everything is different. Until now, all Domke bags had a fixed internal configuration. The Next Generation line has customizable interiors, which can be changed to fit the user’s needs via removable, fabric fastener separators called the Pocket Flex system. All current Domke bags have been given this custom-interior makeover.

Epson Announces Exhibition Natural Canvas Paper

Designed for galleries demanding high-fidelity reproductions of fine-art originals on framed and mounted canvas, Epson today unveiled Exhibition Natural Canvas paper. Epson made the paper 19 mil thick, which is a bit thinner than its 21 mil canvas stock, at the request of galleries and museum curators, who wanted a material that would more easily wrap around frames.

Epson Exhibition Natural is part of the company’s Signature Worthy media collection. Because its target audience—museums—demand a print media that will last several lifetimes, Epson had to design a paper without optical brightening agents, which can shorten a paper’s lifespan. Usually, OBA-free print media tends to be more yellow, but the sample paper we saw at the Epson booth was bright and neutral.

Epson Exhibition Natural Canvas will be available gloss, satin and matte finishes in 13,17, 24, and 44-inch rolls in Novemmber, and in 60-inch rolls and 17×22-inch sheets in December. Look for the new Epson Exhibition Natural Canvas surfaces at at Adorama.
