The latest camera in Nikon’s powerful mirrorless Z series packs powerful imaging technology into a well-built retro body. The newly introduced Nikon Z fc mirrorless camera has features for the content creator — including a flip-out screen, 4K UHD video, and a 20.9MP DX CMOS sensor.
With a retro body that features a tactile design and dials, the camera feels like an original and timeless piece of technology. Nikon has packed the Z fc with must-have specs for the modern creator, including webcam capabilities for streaming live.
The unit is built for on-the-go content creators, thanks to the connectivity with the Nikon SnapBridge app, allowing you to instantly send shots to your phone.
Added vlogger-friendly features such as impressive 4K UHD, a flip-out LCD screen, and built-in audio options (plus an additional microphone jack) make it a natural gear addition for a streamer or video enthusiast.
Eye autofocus captures both humans and animals and allows for precision in still plus video. Take advantage of the USB-C power delivery to shoot longer and expand your time on set.
The Nikon Z fc also includes in-camera timelapse, easy access to controls and menu settings, and compatibility with the full suite of Z lenses and F lenses (with the adapter).
Given the camera’s compatibility with Nikon lenses, the company has also added two new pieces of glass to its collection. The first — the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR lens — is available in a kit alongside the Z fc camera.
Nikon notes the 15-50mm f/3.5-6.3 lens is its smallest DX lens to date. With a compact build and the versatile zoom range, it can capture street photography, landscapes, portraits, and more. The lens includes 4.5 stop of built-in VR image stabilization, fast autofocus abilities, and extra-low dispersion and aspherical glass.
The second of Nikon’s latest lenses is the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 (SE) lens — a bright and fast full-frame prime, also available as a kit with the Z fc. The lens is a 42mm equivalent on DX format cameras and allows for extra close shots thanks to its 0.63-foot minimum focusing distance.
