All eyes are on #NAB2016 and thanks to OnSet’s Daniel Norton, he and his production team are on the convention floor doing live coverage of this yearly event. As expected, they have been very busy while Daniel introduces us to Canon’s latest video camera the ME200S, drone technology courtesy of Fiilex and 3DR, and Manfrotto’s new hybrid video kits.
The Canon ME200S and Canon CN-E Zoom 18-80mm Lens
Although Adorama already revealed the specs on Canon’s new offerings earlier last week (for more details on both, you can read about ‘em here), attendees at NAB are eager to reach out and touch the Canon ME200S camera and their new, compact CN-E servo lens. But that’s not all. Canon unveiled their 8K technology with immersive demonstrations (like the 8K Ride Experience) and the announcement of new displays and projectors. However, a lot of those innovations were rolled out during the Canon Expo of last year. So the new news involves the box-like ME200S with an ISO of up to 204,800 and the versatile CN-E 18-80mm T4.4 KAS servo lens. In this video, Daniel visits the Canon both and gains some insight from Senior Fellow Larry Thorpe:
Manfrotto Hybrid Video Kits
Daniel gets the details on the new Manfrotto Hybrid Video kits that combine a photo tripod with a video head (cue pun about “great head and legs.”).
3DR SOLO and Accessories
3DR previews their versatile SOLO Drone along with a new 360 degree camera, a drone “tether,” lights mounted to drones, updated software and so much more.
Fiilex AL250 Drone Light
Set lighting perennial Fiilex shows us their contribution to the drone trend, the AL250 Drone Light. Daniel speaks with Brand Manager Brent Siebenaler.
