Day two of the National Association of Broadcasters Show (NAB) has arrived, and with it, plenty of new gadgets we can’t wait to check out.
If you missed our coverage of day one, check it out here, and stay tuned for more information on what’s coming up next.
Here’s everything you need to know from day two:
DJI Master Wheels and Force Pro
The DJI Master Wheels — which combines the parts we love of the gear head and makes it compatible with a remote gimbal system — includes a handheld remote control and three removable wheels. With full Ronin control, the wheel means you can control the settings of the Ronin right from the wheel itself. At launch, the Master Wheels will also feature controls, and up to a 30-meter connection, as well as wireless options.
The Force Pro is an IMU controller and camera movement control system that will allow you to remotely control gimbals with a communication latency as low as 10 milliseconds. The unit includes a dual-frequency 2.4 and 5.8 GHz wireless transmission system, and you’ll be able to retain control up to a distance of one mile away.
Arri Alexa LF
The launch of the Arri Alexa LF is the release of the Arri large-format camera system. The camera body is roughly the same size as the Alexa SXT, with the same built-in wireless system and ergonomics. The unit includes uncompressed ARRIRAW format that allows for up to 150 frames per second.
Sony FS5 II
With the same ergonomics as the FS5, the FS5 II includes an updated sensor to a cinematic default look and a 4K/2K FS RAW output with 4K60p/50p recording. The unit includes 4K 120fps (4sec burst) and continuous 2K 240 fps HFR recording using FS RAW and suitable recorder, as well as full HD continuous 120 fps and 240 fps (8sec burst) internal recording.
