Meet the R2 Family: The R2 TTL Wireless Flash System

Challenge: To light like a master using several flash sources. All the flashes must synchronize. All the ratios must be perfect and contrasts amazing. And it really shouldn’t be rocket science. After all, the sound of musical instruments, whether string, wind or tympanic, blend perfectly to create one unified sound. Shouldn’t all the instruments of flash lighting be the same. You know, work together, to harmonize into one image?

It has always been the goal of photographers to simply have the power to control all of their multiple lighting remotely, without a complicated setup or gear that doesn’t ‘connect’. There is only so much bother and frustration that an imaging professional can put up with before they break down and seek a better solution.

The new R2 radio remote system from Flashpoint solves the problem, totally. Built into every R2 family member is cutting edge wireless technology which masters TTL, High-Speed Sync, Group independence, Channel selection with 2.4GHz digital clarity and unbeatable dependable range. Since the R2 Radio is integrated into the flash, there is never an extra device to contend with or extraneous pieces to pack in your case.

All the R2 enabled units communicate seamlessly: the lithium powered Zoom Li-on and AA powered Zoom speedlights, the Streaklight 360 barebulb strobes, and the portable 600ws XPLOR600 monolights – now all available in Nikon, Canon and Sony TTL as well as Manual models, with more proprietary camera versions on the way. Each model hasLED panels that clearly display the status of all remotely linked R2 family strobes so you always have control of group lighting mastery. R2 wireless communication gives speed of light response to on camera or off camera R2 Family devices for a spectacular advantage on the shoot in any environment. There is even a ‘bridge’ remote that enables older R1 strobes to communicate in Manual mode with the new R2’s.

One R2 remote rules them all.

So what are the individuals of this “R2 Family” anyway? First, we want you to meet the head of the group. The colorful list of features are not just  traits found in the top of the list but in many of the worthy siblings.

The Flashpoint Zoom Li-on R2 TTL Flash

Not to leave DSLR shooters without a compact hot shoe speedlight solution, the R2 family has twin kin for instant success.
Zoom Li-On TTL V2 and Zoom TTL V2. Speedlights with a R2 brain.

The Flashpoint Zoom Li-on R2 TTL Flash represents a significant breakthrough in speedlight power technology with the introduction of full R2 Remote TTL connectivity and interaction with all strobe functions.
