Pro Roller x-Series
Lowepro’s inventive new Pro Roller x-Series looks like fine luggage, but performs like a hardworking mobile studio for
pro photographers on the go.
(Sebastopol, CA, March 3, 2009) – Lowepro, a product design company that invents protective gear for photography equipment and portable electronics, announces the launch of its new camera roller, the Pro Roller x-Series.
Designed with airport-compatibility and extra security in mind, the
Pro Roller x-Series offers breakthrough solutions for the photographer who travels with extensive and valuable gear.
Lowepro’s design team created the Lock & Go System™ of security that features a 3-digit combination lock and one retractable cable to keep all zippered compartments safe and sound. The Travel Sentry™ lock is recognized and accepted by TSA, assuring protection of gear around the globe.
Another unique innovation is Lowepro’s Reserve Pack feature. A camera backpack is built right into the hard case and serves as a dual carrying option. To downsize in a last-minute scenario, simply unzip the case and put on the Reserve Pack to board a small aircraft. A zippered front panel closes and secures the hard case for check-in or storage while the Reserve Pack is in use.
“Our team had a lot of fun building a bag that offers an equal blend of
high-performing features and artful details a pro photographer will appreciate,” said Tim Grimmer, Product Manager, Lowepro. “A perfect example of Lowepro inventiveness is our retractable TelePod™ Handle which can serve as a tripod-like shooting or lighting platform in a pinch. The molded design also resembles a camera grip,” he added.
Additional travel-friendly design details include premium, left-tread/right tread wheels that are removable and replaceable with an Allen wrench. Placed at the sides of the case, these wheels provide extra stability when on the move.
The Pro Roller x-Series is refined on the outside with tactile materials and a streamlined profile. It offers Lowepro’s spacious and fully customizable design on the inside. Adjustable padding, lots of organization, empty/full memory card indicator flaps and a removable cord management pouch ensure the photographer’s ability to fully customize his or her kit.
The Pro Roller x-Series comes in three sizes (x100 and x200 can be taken aboard airlines as a carry-on bag in most instances). Each has space for a notebook and extra features like Lowepro’s Hideaway Tripod Mount™, SlipLock™ attachment system, and lots of storage details that make a mobile studio function with ease.
Available in late spring 2009.
