For photographers and enthusiasts who carry their gear to the limits—on foot, bike, hike or on assignment—Outback modular DSLR beltpacks provide protection and freedom of movement.
(Sebastopol, CA) – Lowepro, a product design company that builds protective gear for photography equipment and portable electronics, announces the launch of its Outback series of modern, modular and fast-access beltpacks.
Each modular Outback beltpack comes with two interchangeable lens/accessory cases attached by SlipLock™ loops and secured with sturdy, yet lightweight compression straps. This flexible design allows the photographer to gear up or down in multiple ways to suit the shooting situation.
“We designed Outback with the activities and needs of an outdoor or adventure photographer in mind,” said Tim Grimmer, Lowepro product manager. “These lightweight beltpacks offer an easy way to customize and carry just what you need—from a full kit with multiple lens choices to a streamlined scenario with the camera bag only,” he added.
In addition to its modular makeup, the Outback series is built for action. The fast-access lid on the main compartment unzips quickly with the camera positioned to grab and shoot. Memory card and storage pockets are conveniently located on the inside lid, making on-the-go changes fast and efficient.
The Outback series of beltpacks feature one-piece foam construction, providing superior protection at critical points and corners—essential for times when a photographer is transporting gear, packing gear or moving quickly in a crowd to get that shot.
On the exterior, large U-shaped zipper pulls and tabs make it easy to access gear in wet or cold conditions. Webbing loops in front of the camera compartment are ideal for attaching pouches or cases—and expanding capacity—via a hook or carabiner.
Additional features on the Outback 200 include a front accessory pocket; removable, adjustable shoulder strap; and a cushioned, mesh backpad to provide additional comfort and help wick away moisture after long hours of wear.
The Outback 300 AW comes with Lowepro’s patented All Weather AW Cover™ to protect gear from the elements. Additional features on the Outback 300 AW model include: a thickly padded waistbelt with mesh backpad; and a no-drop front pocket with room for a flash or extra accessories.
The Outback series is available in three sizes in Black.
