Kodak unveils pair of 12MP digital cameras

Kodak introduced its fall lineup of cameras today, unveiling just two new models. But both models are packed with the latest imaging technology. The EasyShare M381, the first of Kodak’s new sleek M lineup, offers face detection, blur reduction, a 3-inch LCD monitor and a 5x optical zoom lens. Kodak claims its flagship EasyShare Z950 superzoom has a click-to-capture speed of less than 0.03 seconds. The Z950 also has a 10x stabilized optical zoom lens. Both models have Smart Capture, a new feature which automatically chooses the optimal scene mode settings based on the shooting situation. The Kodak EasyShare Z950 will be available next month for $279.99. The M381 will be available in September for $149 and will come in Grey Silver, Classic Kodak Red, Satin Black, Deep Orchid, and Light Blue.

Rochester, NY, July 29, 2009 — Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:EK) today announced the newest additions to the KODAK EASYSHARE Digital Camera family, all featuring Kodak’s Smart Capture technology that consistently delivers high quality images in nearly any environment.

Leading the new introductions is the KODAK EASYSHARE Z950 Digital Camera (shown), offering a 10X image stabilized Schneider-Kreuznach optical zoom lens that provides maximum versatility for avid photographers to easily handle both distant and close-up shots. It also incorporates Kodak’s innovative Smart Capture feature, which automatically adjusts focus, flash, and exposure for a great picture in virtually any setting.
