Flashpoint Unveils Budget Studio Lights For Under $100

Flashpoint announced new Budget Studio Lighting Kits and Monolights, available exclusively through Adorama, at the photography trade show this week at CES. Designed for hobbyists and professional photographers on a tight budget, the new lineup of Stuido Monolights and Lighting Kits include models with 120, 160 and 300 watt seconds. The AC-powered lights are energy efficient and can be used on standard household circuits or can go anywhere via the just-announced Flashpoint Power Station portable power source.

Each light includes a sync cord, AC power cord, instruction manual and one-year warranty. Construction consists of durable aluminum housing, and recycle time is said to be between half a second and two seconds. Audio and LED alerts tell you the light’s ready for use. A pre-flash test button, optical slave/master settings and a 5A fuse-protected circuit are also built-in. Each light also has a modeling lamp.
