Join Daniel Norton in Central Park for a fun winter photo shoot. Daniel works with the Profoto B1 as well as Canon and Mamiya Leaf Cameras to produce some fashion style images.
Quick Tips for Shooting in the Snow:
1: Keep in mind, your model is a person too. Make sure he/she is warm and comfortable between shots.
2: When using TTL, be aware of the sky and bright objects (like the snow) in your shot. These will trick your metering system if you’re not careful. Oftentimes, your camera will underexpose due to the bright objects in your frame.
3: Keep color tempure in mind. These images were purposely shot a little cool to enhance the “cold” feeling, but you may want to be more neutral, which will result in adjusting your white balance throughout the day to keep it consistent. It’s a good idea to shoot a white balance target every few hours so you can make adjustment in post (when shooting RAW).
