AdoramaTVpresents Getting the Shot withCorey Rich.
When you approach any shoot, whether it’s commercial or personal, a common tendency is to bring preconceived notions of what you want to shoot. Yet often the best ideas are both spontaneous and the result of listening to your subjects and hearing their own ideas for what would make great pictures.
In this Tech Tip, Corey, explores the creative process of working closely with the Jackson family of kayakers. To Rich, the Jacksons aren’t just world-class kayakers, but they are close friends with whom he has built a strong relationship over the years.
Rich explains the synergy he created with Eric Jackson, the patriarch, who had a really out-of-the-box idea for what would make a dynamic family portrait. It goes to show you that sometimes when you’re open-minded and listen to your subjects, great pictures can be made.
