With its latest trio of pocketable compact digital cameras, Canon today brought more cutting-edge technology to digital photography snapshooters.
Leading the pack with the most intriguing feature set is the Canon Elph 330, which is available now for pre-order at Adorama Camera, the latest compact digital camera to offer on-board Wi-Fi wireless communication capabilities that allows users to comment on photos and share them on social networks. The camera has a 12MP CMOS sensor which may perform better than a typical small sensor camera because of its lower pixel density; its ISO range is 100-6400. It also sports a 10x optical zoom lens that starts at 24mm (35mm) and is capable of capturing 1080p HD video at 24fps and 720p at 30fps. Users can transfer images through Canon iMage Gateway, or via an iOS or Android device via the Canon CameraWindow app.Special scene modes include Program, Portrait, Smart Shutter (automatically shoots when people smile, wink or get in the frame), Low Light, Fisheye Effect, Miniature Effect, Toy Camera Effect, Monochrome, Super Vivid, Poster, Smooth Skin, Soft Focus, Handheld Night Scene, Color Accent, Color Swap, Snow, Fireworks, Long Shutter (to blur moving subjects) and Stitch Assist (for Panoramic photos).
